Injective Launches Unified Governance Interface with Commonwealth

Commonwealth and Injective collaborate in launching an all-in-one governance interface for the Injective community. This governance platform will facilitate further growth of the Injective ecosystem and consolidate all governance activities for ease of use.

About Injective: A Fast, Cross-Chain, Low Fee, Secure, and Fully Decentralized Exchange Protocol

Injective Protocol is a layer-2 decentralized exchange protocol built for the next generation. The Injective Chain supports a decentralized orderbook-based DEX protocol and a trustless ERC-20 token bridge to the Ethereum blockchain.

Injective is the first layer-2 fully decentralized exchange protocol for perpetual swaps, futures, and spot trading that unlocks the full potential of decentralized derivatives and borderless DeFi. Every component of the protocol has been built to be fully trustless, censorship-resistant, publicly verifiable, and front-running resistant.

By providing the unrestricted and unprecedented ability to express diverse views in the decentralized financial markets, Injective is striving to empower individuals with the ability to more efficiently allocate capital in our society. Injective is empowering it’s users in a different way through this partnership by providing them a unified governance platform on Commonwealth.

Enabling Decentralized Community Growth: Commonwealth Protocol Offers an All-in-One Solution for Decentralized Communities

Commonwealth is the crypto native, all-in-one community & governance tool used by many of the top DeFi projects including NEAR and Frax. Commonwealth combines the DAO use cases of Telegram, Discourse, and Snapshot all into one place with additional functionality. This means decentralized governance, community discussions, treasury management, and more happens all on Commonwealth.

Eric Chen, Co-founder and CEO of Injective Labs said:

“Commonwealth is a vertically integrated protocol with robust governance functionalities that will empower Injective’s rapidly growing community. Beyond discussions and voting, Commonwealth has built a product to support a diverse array of decentralized community initiatives.”

Injective now moving onto Commonwealth means that their decentralized community operations are fundamentally improved. The governance process from discussion post through to executing the proposal is now seamless with more functionality and in one place.

Injective’s platform on Commonwealth was built custom for the protocol and will come with the following functionalities:

  • Discourse Import: The Injective forum will launch with the most up to date data on their existing Discourse that has been imported to Commonwealth. This will allow the community to seamlessly transition to the new platform.
  • On-chain Governance: The Injective Protocol will be able to discuss, vote, and execute on governance proposals all on-chain through the new Commonwealth forum.

There will also be upgrades to the Injective Commonwealth forum in the near future. Soon, the forum will be equipped with crowdfunding capabilities that will give each discussion thread created the choice to turn into a fundraising opportunity.
